I'd Have Taken A Point
A point is something that Burton had to be content with in midweek, which is something that it's said would have been taken before kick-off anyway.
Burton had a lead against promotion rivals Rochdale at Spotland on Tuesday night but in the end the Brewers had to be content with a point in the 1-1 draw.
Gary Rowett admitted that he was a little frustrated at conceding a 'soft goal' after putting so much into the game, and it going to plan for so long.
The Brewers boss said: 'You could argue we are frustrated after conceding a goal like that having worked so had with the gameplan we had. It worked really hard for 65 minutes and at that stage you don't want to give them a cheap way back into the game and we possibly did.
'You have to take that on the chin and hope it doesn't affect the rest of the game.'
Zeli Ismail's second goal for the club had given Burton the lead but a mistake from loanee 'keeper Rob Lainton allowed George Donnelly's effort to creep in and earn the hosts a point.
Rowett knows that Rochdale are a good side, and will be pushing for promotion at the end of the season, but still thinks a win could have been achieved. Overall though he would have taken a point before the game so isn't too unhappy.
He added: 'For five or 10 minutes we started to concede a bit of space but we regained composure well and towards the end had one or two openings from set-pieces.
'I'd have taken a point before the game because Rochdale are a very good side and I'm sure they will be up there or thereabouts at the end of the season.'
