Plenty Of Brewers Changes

Plenty Of Brewers Changes

Burton announced a host of fixture changes this week, with none fewer than five league 2 games being rearranged between Tuesday and Thursday for varying reasons.

The games home and away with Southend United have both been altered, with these the first changes announced.

Southend, who were beaten by the Brewers in the league 2 play-off semi final of course last season, like to play their home games on a Friday with Burton agreeing to a change so this will now be played on Friday 19th December at 7:45pm instead of Saturday 20th. The return fixture at the Pirelli Stadium has been moved back 24-hours to Wednesday 18th March at 7:45pm from Tuesday 17th.

Carlisle United's visit to the Pirelli Stadium was also announced as moving back 24-hours, this will now be played at 7:45pm on Wednesday 15th April and not Tuesday 14th. This change was made due to Derby County being at home on the Tuesday.

Another clash would have occurred with Derby on Saturday 4th October so the club have moved Cambridge United's visit to Friday 3rd October, this will kick-off at 7:45pm.

Finally, for now anyway, the Brewers announced that the visit to Plymouth Argyle's Home Park over Easter has been brought forward to Good Friday, meaning this will now be played on Friday 3rd April at 3pm.

I think that's the lot, for now....
