AFC Wimbledon beat Burton Albion 3-0

Burton manager Nigel Clough rotated the squad from the side that beat Solihull three days earlier and went with a 3-5-2 formation compared to the 4-4-2 on Tuesday nights game.

Kyle McFadzean, John Mousinho and Stephen Warnock lined up across the back. Lucas Akins, Lloyd Dyer, Jackson Irvine, Matty Lund and Luke Murphy played in midfield. While Liam Boyce and Marvin Sordell led the attack.

The home side doubled their lead just before the half when Cody McDonald chipped the ball over the Brewers keeper as he charged out of the net.

Substitute Jayden Antwi made it 3-0 6 minutes before time when he stole the ball just in side the Brewers half and raced inside the box to slot the ball past subtitle keeper Harry Campbell.

Burton Albion play Matlock Town at Causeway Lane on Saturday July 22, 2017 with a 3pm K.O.
