Burton Albion end the year with defeat at home to Play-off bound Reading 2-4. The Brewers were behind early when Joseph Mendes left footed from the centre of the box at the three minute mark. Jordan Obita put the visitors two up at the 21 minute mark when he was assisted by Liam Kelly. Yann Kermorgant made it 3-0 to the visitors when his shot from the box went in the bottom right corner. Ben Turner got a goal back for the home side when his shot when in at the 69th minute. Three minutes later, Cauley Woodrow continued the comeback as he headed in the Brewers second goal of the afternoon to make it 2-3. With six minutes remaining, Lewis Grabban ended the Brewers comeback as he right footed the visitors back to a two goal lead. The game ended Burton Albion 2, Reading 4. Burton Albion finished the season in 20th place on 52 points 1 point clear of the relegation zone.
